According to the UNFPA report, Youth in Numbers, published in 2003 “Young people represent human capital, and play a vital role in the development of any country. They are therefore a determining factor in social change, economic development and social. Their boundless imagination, noble ideals and tremendous energy make them a positive force for development. “In other words, we cannot aspire to change and development without young people. So when young people leave the country in search of a better life, we wonder about our future. Aware of the problem that the current conditions of the country push young people to want to leave it, we try to direct them to new perspectives. We want to inspire them, invest in their life, in what they can do and want to accomplish.

Sexual education (HIV/AIDS) awareness
Talking about sexuality within the family is taboo in Haiti. And even worse in Christian families. Adolescents and young people are curious and are left to their own devices in the sexual domain. So they get their information from everywhere except near a reliable source and do all kinds of experiments without being ready. So the work of the Fonhelph is to guide and teach them, starting from body hygiene, through the menstrual cycle of women to how to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases. We educate them so that they do not give birth to children until they are ready to be parents.

Social Education (Civics and moral)
Nowadays, values and customs are disappearing in our society. Everything that was important is slowly being extinguished. With the values that we uphold within our foundation, we strive to perpetuate traditions based on civics and morals.

Promote new Entrepreneur
The Fonhelph has a culture of helping families help themselves. This program mainly targets young people who invest, time, energy and money in the search for a way to leave the country. They can use their time, energy and money wisely and become entrepreneurs. We provide them with the necessary training for this and supervise them to highlight what they have learned. With good training, consistency and ways to start their business they can become independent and help their family with their revenue.
The second phase of this program we show them how to invest what they already have in their possession and turn them into a bigger income. We know that many young people are already entrepreneurs, but they do so out of necessity in order to survive poverty. A very popular model in Africa, on the other hand people still live in poverty. We take all of these factors into account and develop strategies to get them out of there. We don’t want them to get stuck in poverty but to get out of it. We believe that with God’s help and their hard work they can work towards a better life.
