Child Ministry

Malnutrition, poor health, slowdown in development, psychological problems that persist into adulthood are what children are subject to when they grow up in poverty. In Fonhelph we are sensitive to the fate of these children in Haiti, who are growing up in inhuman conditions. We want them to be fulfilled, have a good education and receive adequate health care. We want them even more to taste and enjoy God’s infinite love for them.

The children of today are the adults of tomorrow. When we invest in the lives of children we make sure we have a better Haiti. We help and transform their life for a better future.

Inspire the Youth

According to the UNFPA report, Youth in Numbers, published in 2003 “Young people represent human capital, and play a vital role in the development of any country. They are therefore a determining factor in social change, economic development and social. Their boundless imagination, noble ideals and tremendous energy make them a positive force for development. “In other words, we cannot aspire to change and development without young people.

So when young people leave the country in search of a better life, we wonder about our future. Aware of the problem that the current conditions of the country push young people to want to leave it, we try to direct them to new perspectives. We want to inspire them, invest in their life, in what they can do and want to accomplish.

Community development

At Fonhelph, we strongly encourage all healthy income-generating activities, all Christian associations that believe that community development is the key that closes doors to misery and opens a new door to well-being, to a better tomorrow. This is why we support the idea of collective work, of a Christian association committed to serving the population in order to reduce poverty and hunger.

In this section, Fonhelph targets these very specific areas of development:  Water and Sanitation, Community health and Nutrition, Agriculture, Livestock breeding and micro-credit.
