Who we are…

We are a local foundation in which hundreds of family benefit from one family’s clear calling from God.

It all started when one of the siblings died, in 2007. Although the foundation was created in November 10, 2006, the real vision was confirmed at this death. The burial brought this family back to their roots in Jean-Rabel, North-west of Haiti. What they discovered there, changed their life ever since. God had a way to transform their deepest pain into a great calling. Touched by the poverty they saw out there, the spiritual darkness, the lack of education for the children, unsanitary situation, that family is forever dedicated to help the people of this locality.

It is a little locality far from Port-au-Prince. The further you travel from the capital, the further the people are to live properly. The life condition out there is very crucial, with no purified water, no effective health system, no sanitation it is really hard to convince the youth to stay there and develop their locality. Let’s add to that, the fact that the children are abandoned by their parents due to the lack of money to help them pursue an education. Parents let them grow like wild trees and they become adults and reproduce only what they know. And that cycle of poverty never ends.

Running water and cooking facilities are not available for the majority of families. Only a few of the children can go to school and those that do, don’t have all they need to get a proper education. Many people don’t have access to proper medical care and as a result, many die. Some even before they have had the chance to experience life. Food is something that we take for granted. For those people living so for from the capital, it is something the long for every day. As we try to decide what we will wear today and are discouraged because we don’t like what we have to wear, others are just wanting something to wear.

We started to work in North-West department of Haiti, but our work is expanded throughout many other department as well in the country. Haiti is always on crisis, either political, economic, natural disasters the population is always suffering. As we travel throughout the country, we find ourselves determine to help whoever is in need.
